During the 2018-2019 school year at Pacific University, I taught courses on public sociology, family, gender and sexuality, and qualitative research methods as well as introduction to sociology.

At the University of Colorado, I served eight semesters (plus one summer term) as a teaching assistant on sociology courses, as well as eight semesters as a graduate part-time instructor for sociology courses. I previously taught in college preparatory programs as well as online. Some of the classes I have worked on include those that focus on gender, sexuality, deviance, and social problems.

In 2014, I successfully completed the University of Colorado’s Graduate Teacher Program requirements in order to receive the Certificate in College Teaching. Some of my other teaching-related professional development activities include the completion of a “Teaching Sociology” seminar at CU-Boulder (2012), as well as my time as a sexual health guest speaker in local middle and high schools during the 2014-2015 school year.

More information regarding my teaching is available upon request.
